Babar Azam will be in focus when Pakistan lock horns with Jos Buttler’s England in the 4-match T20I series, starting Wednesday, May 22 at Headingley in Leeds. Edgbaston, Sophia Gardens and Kennington Oval will host the other games on May 25, 28 and 30 respectively.
Babar has been a prolific run-scorer for Pakistan and would want to stay in form before their campaign in the T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies. Babar recently played a crucial role in Pakistan beating Ireland 2-1 in the 3-match T20I series. Babar scored 132 runs at an average of 44 and a strike-rate of 148.31 with 2 half-centuries and a top score of 75 to his name.
If Pakistan are to beat England, Babar’s form with the bat is going to hold a lot of significance. Having scored 3955 runs from 117 matches, the experienced campaigner has been a stalwart for Pakistan in the shorter format.
